Former Aston Villa striker and football pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor has claimed that Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is set to leave the club.

With key players like Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold entering the final year of their contracts, there is growing uncertainty about their futures at Anfield.

Agbonlahor believes Salah has already decided to leave, with his next destination being Saudi Arabia.

The talkSPORT pundit suggested that Salah will secure a highly lucrative deal, potentially earning more than Cristiano Ronaldo, positioning him as the new face of football in the Middle East.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor told Alan Brazil, “I know Salah’s going. A source told me it’s certain.” When asked where, he responded, “Saudi, on a record contract. I hear he’ll earn more than Ronaldo and become the face of football there. How can Salah turn that down? He’s done everything at Liverpool.”

While Agbonlahor’s statements remain unconfirmed, Liverpool could still offer Salah a new contract. The club may act before the January transfer window, when Salah can begin negotiating a pre-contract agreement elsewhere.

Liverpool will need to address Salah’s contract situation soon to avoid losing him for free. Salah has been a key player this season, scoring four goals and being instrumental alongside Luis Diaz under manager Arne Slot.

Despite talk of a Saudi move, Salah remains one of the world’s best in his position, and extending his stay at Anfield would benefit both him and the club.
