However, with the team currently occupying sixth place in the league standings, there’s speculation that Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS might opt for a change in leadership this summer.

Thomas Tuchel’s representatives have already signaled his availability for the upcoming summer, following his departure from Bayern Munich.

Despite this, Alan Pardew believes that United’s decision-makers should consider taking a different route and look at a manager currently active in the Championship.

Pardew advocated for Mark Robins to be given a chance at his former club during a talkSPORT segment.

Robins may lack experience at the highest level for the United job. Nonetheless, Manchester United supporters are likely to recall his Coventry City team’s recent performance in the FA Cup semi-final just over a week ago

During his seven-year tenure with Coventry, Robins has undoubtedly achieved commendable results, narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League last season.

Moreover, the 54-year-old is renowned for his memorable goal that arguably preserved Sir Alex Ferguson’s position as United’s manager, scoring the winner against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup in 1990.

However, considering his limited experience as a manager at the highest echelons of the sport, it would come as a significant surprise if Manchester United were to take a gamble on Robins.
