“How many times do I have to say he should be on the bench. He doesn’t deserve to play for us” – Jamie Carragher expressed his frustration at a Liverpool player earning £140,000 per week during the match against Palace.

Jamie Carragher was visibly frustrated with a Liverpool player during their Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The Reds were trailing 0-1 at halftime and missed a chance to equalize when Darwin Nunez’s shot was saved by Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

Carragher, commenting on the miss, lamented, “Darwin Nunez has to score. How many times have we said that?” Nunez, despite being appreciated by Liverpool fans for his effort, has missed several scoring opportunities throughout the season, despite his impressive goal tally.

While he has shown moments of brilliance, such as his chipped finish against Brentford, his inconsistency in front of goal remains a concern.

If Nunez can improve his finishing, he could become a top player, but his lack of clinicality, especially in crucial moments like today’s match, is a significant issue.
