Manchester United, along with their new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, have been urged to dismiss Erik ten Hag following criticism of his recent comments.

The defeat to Fulham over the weekend, marked by goals from Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi, has intensified scrutiny on the Dutch manager.

Aston Villa’s 4-2 victory over Nottingham Forest widened the gap between Unai Emery’s team and Manchester United to eight points in the race for fourth place, putting Ten Hag and his team at risk of missing out on Champions League qualification next season.

Despite a lackluster performance and the absence of their key player Rasmus Hojlund, Ten Hag surprisingly believed that his team deserved to win the match.

“We managed to equalize and get back into the game, and at that moment, I thought we deserved to come away with three points,” he stated.
