Recent reports confirmed Mbappe’s intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain upon the expiry of his contract this summer, sparking interest from top European clubs in what could be a significant free transfer.

During an encounter with a young fan, Brailsford chuckled at the question, suggesting Mbappe’s preference seems to lean towards a move to Real Madrid.

While Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Mbappe, it’s widely believed that Real Madrid is the frontrunner for his signature.

With Mbappe in the final six months of his PSG contract, negotiations with other clubs began on January 1st.

Real Madrid has reportedly made an offer to Mbappe, though it’s said to be lower than PSG’s offer to retain him.

Negotiations are ongoing, but as of now, no agreement has been reached.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is expected to pursue a new forward in the summer transfer window to support emerging talent Rasmus Hojlund, who has been gradually adjusting to life in England.

As the Mbappe saga continues, attention remains on Real Madrid’s developments and their potential impact on Manchester United’s transfer plans.
