Erik ten Hag has admitted that the £40 million player has no prospects of remaining at Manchester United and may leave the club this summer.

After making a memorable debut with a goal for Manchester United in 2020, Van de Beek has struggled to secure a regular spot in the squad ever since.

Despite reuniting with his former Ajax manager, Erik ten Hag, his situation hasn’t improved, and he has seen limited playing time this season, totaling only 21 minutes across all competitions.

If Van de Beek decides to explore opportunities elsewhere, Ten Hag seems supportive of his decision.

The United manager commented, “I can see that he needs to play for the sake of his career and everything else.”

Van de Beek recently voiced his desire for more playing time, acknowledging that despite the lucrative salary at United, he faces a crucial decision about his future.

He stated, “I need to start playing matches soon, whether it’s at Manchester United or another club. This is a noble objective for me. Football has always been my passion.”

While expressing gratitude for his time at Manchester United, Van de Beek emphasized his eagerness to return to regular action.

He noted the competition within the squad and acknowledged that decisions need to be made.

Under Ten Hag’s guidance at Ajax, Van de Beek emerged as one of Europe’s most promising midfielders, earning a Ballon d’Or nomination and playing a key role in Ajax’s remarkable Champions League campaign.

Despite interest from top clubs like Real Madrid, Van de Beek opted to join Manchester United in 2020.

However, his playing time has been limited, prompting consideration of potential moves to other European clubs such as AC Milan, Inter, and Roma.

Other potential destinations being considered include OGC Nice, Celtic, and a return to Ajax, although no decision has been made yet.
