Richard Keys suggests that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s goal against Fulham should not have stood and only did because of a peculiar reason.

 

Jurgen Klopp’s side secured a 4-3 victory against Fulham at Anfield on Sunday, saving face in the Premier League.

 

With Arsenal extending their lead at the top of the table to four points, the Reds needed to keep pace as they faced Marco Silva’s men.

 

However, it was not a straightforward win; Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring with a free-kick that bounced in off Bernd Leno before former player Harry Wilson promptly equalized.

However, substitute Wataru Endo equalized before Alexander-Arnold secured a dramatic injury-time victory.

Speaking on beIN Sport after the game, Keys expressed disagreement with the goal’s award, believing there was a foul in the build-up.

He then provided a peculiar reason for the goal being allowed to stand, stating, “It’s only not a foul because it’s at the Kop End.”
