Florian Plettenberg reports that Manchester United is considering a potential move for RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

The club has expressed interest in the German forward, but formal negotiations have not taken place yet.

Werner is reportedly discontent with his current situation at Leipzig, which could create an opportunity for a January transfer if interested teams pursue the option.

Werner has participated in 13 matches for RB Leipzig this season across various competitions, contributing two goals and one assist in a total playing time of 370 minutes.

With prior experience in the Premier League during his tenure at Chelsea from 2020 to 2022, where he secured a Champions League victory, Werner accrued 89 appearances, scoring 23 goals and providing 21 assists. His most prolific goal-scoring period was with RB Leipzig, amassing 113 goals in 212 appearances over two spells.

Currently, Leipzig holds the 5th position in the Bundesliga with 23 points, trailing Bayer Leverkusen by 11 points at the top.
