He also raised doubts about Fernandes’ suitability to play in the current situation, suggesting that he lacks the work rate to perform effectively on the wing and tends to go unnoticed when Manchester United is defending.

Fernandes has participated in 13 matches for Manchester United across various competitions this season, where he has scored two goals, contributed three assists, and accumulated a total of 1,170 minutes of playtime.
Out of his 13 appearances, he has featured as an attacking midfielder in 10 games, while the remaining three saw him playing as a right-sided wide player.
As of now, Manchester United holds the 8th position in the Premier League, having secured 15 points. They have recorded five wins and five losses in their first 10 matches of the current season.
Next on their schedule, the Red Devils will be facing Newcastle in the Carabao Cup Round of 16, followed by a Premier League fixture against Fulham over the weekend.
