Several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea, are reportedly interested in signing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

While the 23-year-old is expected to leave Selhurst Park next summer, his final destination remains uncertain.

Chelsea, where Guehi came through the academy, is also among the clubs vying for his signature.

Chelsea is less inclined to secure the services of Marc Guehi as a center-back if the transfer fee becomes excessively high.

Crystal Palace is aiming for a substantial fee, potentially surpassing the £50 million that Manchester United paid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s transfer in 2019.

Arsenal has a commendable track record of identifying young English talent, exemplified by their successful summer signing of Declan Rice for £105 million.

The impact of this acquisition is evident, as the price tag has hardly been a topic of discussion among fans and pundits.

Whether Mikel Arteta can outcompete Pep Guardiola for Marc Guehi’s signature remains uncertain. Arteta evidently sees the Palace defender as a pivotal part of his long-term strategy at Arsenal, and with the club’s promising project, the Gunners have a genuine chance of prevailing over rival interest.

Consequently, Chelsea fans may not hold high hopes of bringing back one of their former players, despite substantial spending by owner Todd Boehly since taking over from Roman Abramovich in May 2022.
